Kristen + Nate at 1840s Plaza in Baltimore

1840s Plaza_001

I would happily photograph these two every weekend!  First of all, I don’t know that I have ever seen a happier, more energetic and elated groom in my life.  Nate is a bundle of happy energy and he was SO excited to finally marry Kristen after a two year engagement.  And then there’s Kristen, who is a lovely creative with a great sense of style and an old soul.  Nate and Kristen together are utter perfection.  I love everything about N+K, and I would pay them to photograph the two of them again.  I had such a good time with them on Saturday and their wedding was just gorgeous.  Also, it rained all day on Saturday, and although this would distress many Brides & Grooms, neither Nate or Kristen even said a word about it to me.  They were just happy to be getting married and the inconvenient weather wasn’t even an issue for them.  I love these two, and I wish them all of the happiness in the world.  And I hope to see them again soon – maybe for a stylized shoot.  :)

Griffin, Caroline + Christopher at Brookside Gardens

I fell hard for this little guy, Griffin.  He is about as cute, sweet and energetic as they come.  Plus, he reminds me of one of my favorite fictional characters, Calvin (of Calvin & Hobbes fame), with his blond hair, sense of adventure, energy, and his love for his stuffed animals ( “Froggy” + “Cuddly Puppy” came along on our photo shoot).  Griffin also loves dinosaurs, butterflies, remote control toys (like his dad’s cool helicopter, which was promptly lost in a tree), making faces, and the movie “Frozen” (especially the soundtrack, including that one song we won’t mention because I just got it out of my head for the first time in weeks).  Griffin is one precocious, special kid, and he’s about to be an awesome older brother.  Griffin and his parents, Caroline & Christopher, are expecting a new addition to the family in May.  Pretty soon there will be another fabulous little boy running around, so Caroline & Christopher wanted to document this moment in their lives before they become a family of four.  One of my favorite moments of the day was at the very end of the shoot when I hugged Griffin goodbye and I told him “You were amaaaazing.”  Griffin pulled away from the hug and said “You were amazing too” with a smile.  Melt my heart.  Like I said, Griffin is one special kid.  :)

Looking very dapper in a bowtie, which Griffin called a "poopy tie" just because he likes saying the word, I suspect. :)

Congrats on your expanding family, Caroline, Christopher, and Griffin.  I can’t wait to meet the little guy and to chase him around Brookside Gardens when he’s old enough!
