October 3rd was a perfect day. It was sunny and warm, the sky was blue, and a good friend of mine married the love of her life. And I had the joy of photographing it :) I’m not exaggerating when I say it was a perfect day. Mandy and Scotty’s evident love for one another, their relaxed attitudes, their fabulous friends and family, and the joy felt by everyone added up to a wonderful wedding. And I was so happy to be there to witness and photograph the emotional moments - Mandy’s mom tearing up once her daughter was in the wedding gown, Mandy and her Dad getting choked up during the processional, sweet hugs and smiles between Scotty and his Mom during the Mother/Son dance, and meaningful looks shared between the Bride and Groom throughout the day.
I could write a lot more and tell some stories about Mandy, talk about how the couple reunited after first knowing one another in high school, or share more about their wedding day, but instead I will get straight to the pictures and just give the newleyweds a big hug when I see them this weekend - at my own wedding :) Congrats, Mandy & Scotty!
Also, thank you to Terra Dawn, who helped me out at this wedding and who was an absolute joy to work with! It was also great to meet Michael Bell of MyDeejay.com, who did a great job of keeping everyone out on the dance floor. I hope to work with you two again because you’re awesome!
