Katherine & Kristian’s DC Engagement Shoot

Katherine, Kristian, and I scheduled an early morning photo shoot last week.  While it can be hard to get up and function at that hour, the benefits are usually a pretty sunrise and quiet surroundings.  Unfortunately, neither of those things greeted us that morning as it was a hazy Tuesday full of loud construction vehicles and poorly located sprinklers.  We worked well with what we had, though, and I thought Katherine and Kristian chose two awesome locations, both of which were unique to them.  The first location was a hidden NW park that is near Katherine’s condo.  You would never expect to find a park with such pretty greenery hidden inside a square of rowhouses.  The second stop was a nearby coffee shop that these two frequent, Big Bear Cafe.  If I leaved nearby I would love this place too as it had big, comfy couches and cool artwork.

These two are great together.  Kristian has a great sense of humor and Katherine has a beautiful smile, and that made my job really easy.  I love how laid-back these two are, and I know their October wedding is going to be awesome!!
