Lauren & Adam’s Cherry Blossom Session

This almost felt like a doomed engagement session.  After months of trying to schedule a rain-free engagement session in the fall, we finally decided to postpone their shoot until the Cherry Blossoms in the spring of 2012.  And then the day finally arrives.  Lauren, Adam and I meet at the Tidal Basin, the sun is about to come out, we are just starting the shoot…. and then I get scolded by a National Park Services park ranger – twice – and it’s only about five minutes in to the shoot.  Fortunately, we persevered and recovered.  And we managed to find some quiet and crowd-free areas within the city, which we determined is anywhere but the Tidal Basin during the peak of the Cherry Blossom blooms, of course.  These two are an adorable couple.  They managed to be energetic, affectionate, and humorous at 7 in the morning, which seems like an impossible feat to this slow-to-rise non-morning person.  I am super excited for their May 19th wedding at Antrim 1844.  It is going to be a relaxed, pretty event and I’m so excited for it to get here already!!
